Oil Tycoon! secrets overview

Everything outside your plot in Oil Tycoon!: six secrets, named NPCs, a mine, a fishing hole, a time trial and a beanstalk race. Four of the six secrets are rarer than 25% of players — the exploration side is where this game hides its hardest content.

The exploration pages

Everything outside your plot

Oil Tycoon! hides its best content in the desert, the frozen north, the grass and underground. Seven pages cover it:

PageWhat you get
Secrets guideAll six secrets, with the badge each one awards
NPC locationsMiguel, Jack, Mr. Fishley and the story contacts
The minePickaxe, diamonds, the risk board and cash-out tiers
FishingThe five fish, the deposit and the leaderboard
Beanstalk raceHow to win the Jack? badge
Time trialThe course, the record and the reward
MapEvery area in order, plus one route that covers all of them

How exploration fits the game loop

Exploration is not a side chore — six of the game's ten badges and both story endings live out there, and none of them need a bigger factory. The rhythm that works:

  1. Automate first. Hire the workers that keep the line moving, then leave. A hand-fed plot cannot be left, and nothing out here can be done in five-minute returns.
  2. Sweep by region, not by target. The desert, grass, frozen area and beanstalk region sit next to each other; the mine and fishing spot sit below. One loop per region beats hunting one badge at a time — see the route.
  3. Cash out before the next run. The mine carries the only real loss mechanic. Bank a tier before you go digging for the next one.

What exploration costs you

Almost nothing. The badges are permanent, none of the secrets can be missed or locked out, and the two story endings are replayable — you can see one, come back and see the other. The only gated content is the permit office zone, which wants at least one rebirth before the door opens.

FAQ

What is there to explore in Oil Tycoon!?

Six secrets spread across the map, two story endings, the mine, the fishing spot, the beanstalk race and the time trial — all outside your plot.

Do I need a full factory to explore?

No. Once your workers run the line unattended you can leave the plot; exploration rewards are badges and story progress, not cash.
