The basics
Where do I play Oil Tycoon!? On Roblox only — no Steam version, no demo. If it is not on roblox.com, it is not the real game. The official Place ID is 105072660911040 (Universe ID 10466601694); that is the record to match if you want to be sure.
Who makes it? jitmoney inc. The developer cites Ice Tycoon 2 as the inspiration — the shared shape is a tycoon that quietly reveals secrets, side areas and two endings.
How big is the game? 2,833,679 visits as of 17 October 2026, ~520 concurrent players in that reading (off-peak — the count swings hard with the hour) and an 89% approval rating from 14,370 votes.
How many players per server? 25 per server.
Are there codes? No. Oil Tycoon! has no code system — it has never had one, and the last check confirms it still does not. Why players keep searching for codes.
Playing it
What should I do first? Follow the opening order: conveyor, door, upgrader, drill worker — then fill what the line says it is missing. The beginner guide walks the first hour; the budget calculator tells you what your current cash actually buys.
Should I rebirth, and when? Rebirth resets your plot and keeps everything that matters — badges, secrets, both endings. It is the key to the CEO-side area: a marked door reads "Need one rebirth to enter." The rebirth guide has the pre-reset checklist.
How many secrets are there? Six. Three are held by under 25% of players — the igloo (6.4%), the flower (8.0%) and the wall hole (13.8%). All six with badge proof.
How many endings? Two, both at Big Oil Inc. Blow it up for Ending 1 (18.7% of players) or spare John Oil for the True Ending (6.3% — the rarest badge in the set). Both routes.
How many badges? Ten, unchanged since 23 August 2026. The badge list with clear rates.
Updates and the long run
Does the game get updates? Yes, but there are no changelogs. The build timestamp moved to 16 October 2026 on the latest check — a moved timestamp is the only official signal. The updates page re-runs the numbers and reports only what moved.
Is the game still growing? Visits went from 2,125,199 on 6 October to 2,833,679 on 17 October (+708,480 in eleven days). It is three months old and still growing.
What is there to do after the endings? The world stays open: secrets, the mine, fishing, the permit office zone and the factory line — plus Miguel's post-ending gift (droppers run 25% faster) that speeds up any rebuild.
